The Pair that survived chapter 2

When Subject Zeta and Molly would gather Zeta would have what he thought were his memories. They were fuzzy pictures of activities he thought had done once before. Like, When Molly had wandered into a workshop in Hephaestus. He had looked at a workbench and one of his memories came to him. He could see himself as a normal man, dressed in welder's clothes and a snap-brim hat. At the end of his work shift he could see himself put his clothes back into his locker and walk away.

There were brighter moments to Walter as Subject Zeta when he would wander with Molly on gatherings. Once in Pauper's Drop Zeta and Molly were on their rounds and Molly had spotted a dead splicer on one of the walk ways. She was so excited she didn't bother to ask Zeta to help. She began to search for crates and boxes to stack up and reach the splicer. Zeta just stood back and watched as Molly scurried back and forth finding boxes and setting them on top of each other. After stacking the amount of boxes she thought she needed to reach the splicer. She carefully climbed up the stack of boxes and when she reached the top she tried to grab the edge of the walkway, but the boxes she was standing on were creaking then gave way. Molly fell through the entire stack of boxes. Zeta took a few steps forward after seeing her fall through the boxes. It was quiet for a few seconds when Zeta heard movement in the mountain of boxes; He moved closer to the pile, now listening.  
"It's dark in here daddy!" Molly said moving around in the boxes. Zeta laughed as he moved the boxes to reveal Molly sitting in the center of the boxes. Zeta picked her up and onto his shoulders he carried her to the walkway. Then he sat her down next to the dead splicer. She used her extraction needle to get the ADAM from the splicer. After that light moment Zeta and Molly continued their rounds.
